We match legally trained individuals with local schools to build young people’s knowledge and understanding of the law.
The Young Citizens team are looking for volunteers to run sessions in schools about different areas of the law; from social media to human rights.
To participate in this opportunity you will need to pay a £10 admin fee.
In return volunteers will receive:
- Access to find schools near you
- All session materials on a range of engaging topics
- Training to prepare you for working with young people.
At the moment this programme is in its pilot phase so please be patient while we find you a match!
The Legal Matching Service has been created in partnership with the legal Education Foundation to connect legal professionals from small/solo practices with local schools to improve young people’s legal knowledge.
“It was great seeing the young people engage with the lesson; they were so interested and asked questions that showed they were thinking about what was being taught” – Louise Asquith, Volunteer Lawyer
