This classroom resource has been created by Young Citizens in partnership with international law firm, Allen & Overy.
In this one-hour lesson students explore the various reasons why people choose to migrate. They unpack the differences between refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants, examining key pieces of legislation to see what rights migrants have in both national and international law. Finally, students are asked to analyse a number of real life case studies.
