About Citizenship Foundation
The Citizenship Foundation is a UK based charity with 27 years’ experience helping young people to make informed decisions, take responsible action in their lives and get ready to shape the world they live in.
We give young people the knowledge, confidence and inspiration they need to make an effective contribution to society and to shape their future in a rapidly changing world.
We create life-changing practical experiences, inside and outside the classroom, which give young people a voice, broaden their horizons and increase their power to make the changes they want to see in their communities. More than 80% of UK secondary schools 50% of UK primary schools have used our curriculum materials.
SmartLaw is an initiative brought to you by the Citizenship Foundation. We help develop the legal capability of young people and support them to understand how the law touches every aspect of their life by:
- Delivering active learning programmes such as Lawyers in Schools and Mock Trial competitions
- Providing quality assured public legal education resources.
- Connecting them with a network of legal professionals
This year we hosted a fundraising dinner at Middle Temple. To find out more about the event, click here.
