We invite you to join the Citizenship Foundation and guests at the British Library on Tuesday 14 July, 12.30-2.30pm


The Importance of Public Legal Education for the Bar

Be part of an intimate audience with the Solicitor General, the Rt. Hon. Robert Buckland QC (subject to parliamentary business) and Chairman of the Bar Council, Alistair Macdonald QC.

You will find out more about the Citizenship Foundation’s flagship public legal education project, the Bar Mock Trial Competition, ways you can get involved with the project as well as discussing the growing importance of public legal education for diversity at the Bar with panel guests.

 

 

Panel members will include:

Alistair MacDonald QC will chair the panel, joined by:

Richard Hignett, Barrister and Head of Employment, No5 Chambers

Sophia Hurst, Bar Mock Trial Alumni and future Pupil at Serle Court

Sufiya Patel, Mock Trial Project Manager at the Citizenship Foundation

 

Students participating the competition will also be showcasing their advocacy skills and talking about their experiences
